Writing your Executive CV ?

Are you preparing for your next career move? Then you need to consider your CV content. Not always an easy one but do think of this as marketing ‘Brand You’! It’s recommended to be concise whilst clearly indicating your skills and experience. Bullet points are fine and remember to make small adjustments as appropriate for the position you are applying for.

Provide clarity of skills and achievements to help you stand out from less experienced candidates. This may include leadership, strategy, product categories, change management and of course where you have made financial reductions and increased overall revenue. It can be beneficial to provide further information on your digital awareness along with current environmental, social, governance and DEI .

A logical layout and what you include within your CV is important as is the number of pages. Try to keep this at 2- 3 pages as you want to engage and provide a clear career overview with achievement highlights. More than 3 pages? Looks like a novel!  Include higher education and qualifications plus additional language skills. Most important is to add your contact details!
Photograph on your CV? If it is professional and up to date . Great but not essential.
If you work within a creative industry, it is useful to provide link(s) to creative projects that you have contributed to.

Your career is important so spend a little time on that CV !
