Chanel’s AW17 Paris Fashion Week Show Blasts All Others Off The Face Of The Earth With Giant Rocket Ship

A set that was literally out of this world

Chanel’s AW17 fashion show in Paris was a show like no other this season.

Karl Lagerfeld, who is known for his extravagant sets, took one giant leap further for fashion this March, as he turned the Grand Palais into a space station, complete with life-size rocket ship.

Not only that, but the spaceship came to life during the show, blasting skywards 10 metres towards the domed glass roof of the Champs-Élysées venue.

The rocket was a reported 35 metres high, and it included two launch cabins and two satellite antennas. A little birdy also told us that the whole set took 9 days to build.
